Whether you are an artist of some sort, someone who appreciates that, or simply looking to connect with wonderful neighbors who like to get together and make amazing things happen, this is a wonderful event. 

There will be live music, local vendors, food, family fun and more. Come check it out, and let us know what’s going on in your neighborhood!

When: Thursdays, 5-9pm. 7/9 is in Huntington Station in the LIRR North Parking Lot. 7/16 & 7/23 are on Wall Street in Huntington

Huntington PUBlic Art Crawl!

The Huntington Arts & Experiences Committee Invites You to "Celebrate Creativity at the PUBlic Art Crawl!"

It’s free. It’s fun. It’s community coming together to celebrate the arts and culture all around us. Whether you are an artist of some sort, someone who appreciates that, or simply looking to connect with wonderful neighbors who like to get together and make amazing things happen, this is a wonderful event. 

There will be guided tours, live music, live painting, activities for kids of all ages, a local artists market, and exclusive village specials. Come check it out!

WHEN: Saturday, May 16, 12-5pm

HOW IT WORKS: The event is free, but folks must sign up via the following links for the 10:30 and 1:30 Mural Tours. Else, just stop by one of the event hubs – St. John’s Episcopal Church or the Huntington Arts Council – to receive the official event tote and bracelet, unlocking exclusive food and drink specials throughout the town.

When: Saturday, June 8, 12-5pm (rain date 6/15)

Here’s a great article in Going LocalLI that covers all sorts of great stuff happening that day, including live painting, music, kids activities, and food and drink specials offered to anyone who picks up an event bracelet.

Paid Guided Tours: For $10 you can take a guided tour of local murals, getting all sorts of inside information on the village’s public-facing art (tickets and info are here). For $32, folks 21 and over can take a “PUBlic Art Crawl Pub Tour,” which also includes info about the murals as well as treats and insight into the works of art that are some of our local business establishments (tickets and info are here).

Catching Up With Jose: “Community” at Spotlight, Environmentally Conscious Public Art

Jose Tutiven and Bri Sanders at the Upsculpt Ribbon Cutting of "Lobster Buoy Boy" in Huntington early this month.

We’ve mentioned Jose Tutiven before. His reputation preceded him by 20 miles as he has earned the appreciation of folks Island-wide. His company, Colored Colors, “empowers unity amongst creatives…fosters long term relationships between the community of creatives and local business…[and]…serves as the platform to instill the mentality of artistry, commerce and community.”
